Cisco Systems, multinational technology conglomerate has entered into a share purchase agreement on 12 May 2021 for the acquisition of Socio Labs, a US based event technology platform co-founded by its Turkish CEO Yarkın Sakucoglu, which provides virtual and hybrid event solutions globally, including Turkey. The transaction is expected to close in 2021 after regulatory approvals are obtained.
We are pleased to announce that Paksoy acted as Turkish counsel to Cisco Sytems on this acquisition, with a team led by Elvan Aziz (partner, M&A) and Şansal Erbacıoğlu (partner, for tax matters), together with Gözde Zorlu (associate, M&A) and Simge Ergin (associate, for employment matters).
