Albioma, an independent renewable energy producer based in France and a leading generator of photovoltaic power overseas, entered into a share purchase agreement on 22 December 2020 to acquire a 75% stake in the Gümüşköy geothermal power plant, located in Aydın, Turkey. The remaining 25% were purchased by Albioma’s Turkish partner, industrial services provider Egesim. The transaction successfully closed on 26 January 2021.
Paksoy is pleased to announce that a team led by Stéphanie Beghe Sönmez (partner) together with Simge Şengün (associate), as well as Soner Dağlı (senior associate) for banking and finance aspects, and Sansal Erbacioglu (partner) for tax and fiscal matters, acted as legal counsel to Albioma on this transaction.
