On 17 April 2026, Carrefour entered into a share purchase agreement to sell its 32.16% stake in CarrefourSA, one of the major supermarket chains in Türkiye, established in 1991 as a joint venture with Sabancı Holding. The stake is being sold to Yeni Mağazacılık, a subsidiary of Turgut Aydın Holding, which owns and operates A101, one of the country’s largest discount retailers.

The sale is part of a joint transaction alongside Sabancı Holding, with the two sellers together divesting a combined 89.28% stake in CarrefourSA. The transaction is expected to close upon completion of customary regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Turkish Competition Authority.
