Ege Kimya is a leading Turkish chemicals company with operations in intermediate chemicals serving both domestic and international markets. The two acquisitions indicate Ege Kimya’s strengthening of its position as a leading regional chemical producer.
The Venator transaction includes the transfer of product formulations, trademarks such as NUODEX®, and technical know-how associated with its driers business, historically operated at Venator’s Birtley, UK site. Through the acquisition of Metal Oksit, one of Türkiye’s leading zinc oxide producers, Ege Kimya further strengthens its portfolio of products serving as key raw materials for industries such as tire, rubber, ceramics, cosmetics, paint and agriculture. Completion of the Metal Oksit acquisition remains subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions precedent.
Paksoy is pleased to announce that a team led by partner Ayşe Demirel Atakan and associates Meriç Saçak Albaş and Tuna Çıtır advised Ege Kimya on these transactions.
