Rovio Entertainment Corporation, the creator of Angry Birds, entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire all shares in Ruby Games in multiple tranches. Ruby Games’ best performing game in last year was Hunter Assassin, which was the sixth most downloaded game across all categories in 2020 worldwide. The first tranche of the transaction, which will be the acquisition of 20% of the shares of the studio by Rovio, is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of this year or the beginning of the last quarter.
Paksoy is pleased to announce that a team led by Togan Turan (partner) together with Can Aksoy (senior associate), Yeşeren Sözüer, LL.M. (associate) and Bengüsu Güvendi (associate) advised Rovio on this transaction.
