Vienna Insurance Group, one of the largest listed international insurance groups in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), signed the share purchase agreement to acquire the insurance companies, pension funds, asset management and service companies of the Dutch insurer Aegon in Hungary, Poland, Romania and Turkey on 29 November 2020. The purchase price for the shares is EUR 830 million and the formal closing of the transaction is expected in the second half of 2021, subject to the necessary regulatory and competition approvals.
