Paksoy has advised Vakıf Katılım on its inaugural Additional Tier 1 sukuk issuance, valued at USD 500 million — the largest subordinated sukuk ever issued by a participation bank in Türkiye.
The issuance attracted strong demand from more than 80 international investors across the Gulf region, the UK, and Europe, with total orders exceeding USD 1.8 billion, which demonstrates global investors’ confidence in Turkish economy.
Paksoy team, led by partner Sera Somay and supported by counsel Merve Kurdak and associates Muhammed Tosun and Berrak Coşar, provided legal advice on this landmark transaction and is pleased to have supported Vakıf Katılım as Turkish legal counsel.
